What is GDPR?
GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation, and it applies to companies across the world, who process the personal data of EU residents. UK GDPR applies similarly to companies processing the personal data of UK residents.
What is HIPAA?
HIPAA stands for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and it applies to any individual or organization that processes protected health information (PHI) as a ‘covered entity’ or a business associate of a ‘covered entity’. While Human is not currently a covered entity or a business associate of one, HIPAA does not yet apply to us, however, we believe compliance with HIPAA is best practice and intend to act accordingly.

Human Health for Practitioners is now live. If your doctor is using Human Health, they can help manage your treatment plan and see your progress in real-time via their own online portal.
If your doctor isn’t using Human Health, don’t worry – you can still update them on your progress by showing them the treatment and symptom information available on your insights page.
